Australia-Low THC Hemp Seeds As Food

On May 11th 2017 Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) approved the sale of foods made from Low THC Hemp seeds by updating the following: Standard 1.2.7 Nutrition and health related claims, Standard 1.4.4 Prohibited and restricted plants and fungi.

The products will be allowed to be sold from the 11th November 2017 with restrictions on the type of product, what claims can be made and how the product is labelled. For more information about the Hemp being sold as a food product, please contact our Labeling Services
