New rules to import food and cosmetics

MXNS-BANDIERE

The AQSIQ informs that importers will no longer need to provide a sanitary certificate -also known as “CIQ certificate”. In order to guarantee the same strictness on imports, the Chinese body envisages a further requisite for the necessary documents for food and cosmetics imported to China. If the imported product is considered suitable for import after all inspections, the inspection and quarantine goods entry certificate will have to quote the wording “上述货物业经检验检疫监督管理,准予进口。” in a clear way, namely stating that the product underwent inspection and quarantine and it is suitable for import.
