On November 24 Mérieux NutriSciences Poland will held in Warsaw (Siedziba firmy Silliker Polska Sp. z o.o. - ul. Waryńskiego 1) a training on "Nutrition and health claims". The workshop starts at 9 am and will end at 4 pm.

Claim means any message or representation, which is not mandatory under Community or national legislation, which states, suggests or implies that a food has particular characteristics. This refers not only to information declared as a text but also to pictorial, graphic or symbolic representation, in any form. Claims made on foods are divided to nutrition claim and health claims.
Although, claims made on foods are voluntary information, the possible to use and conditions of use are regulated by food legislations. Nutrition and health claims may be used in the labeling, presentation and advertising of foods placed on the market in the Community only if they comply with the provisions of EU Regulation no 1924/2006.
