Uruguay - Digital certification of origin agreement with Paraguay
A pilot-plan to facilitate trade
In the Mercosur area is raising the attention towards the digital exchange of the Certificates of Origin (COD) in order to support commercial exchanges.
Last October 14, the pilot-plan was launched: the first phase of testing will be followed by the actual use of the COD in foreign trade operations between Paraguay and Uruguay as already occurs for commercial operations between Uruguay and Argentina and Brazil.
The Plan aims at expanding the use of this type of certificate in all Mercosur member countries.
