Last month Mérieux NutriSciences announced the acquisition of 100% shareholding in Theolab, a leader in the field of environmental sciences. This acquisition allows Mérieux NutriSciences to become the undisputed leader on the market of environmental services in Italy.

Established in 1996 and employing 150 people employees, Theolab is specialized in environmental analysis. The company operates 8 sites in Italy with the main laboratory being in Torino. Theolab is a widely recognized service provider in Italy, working with major international and Italian companies. Theolab and Mérieux NutriSciences Environmental operations in Italy will rapidly be combined and will operate as one single company.

Philippe Sans, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mérieux NutriSciences, said: “We are pleased to welcome a much respected company to Mérieux NutriSciences. This acquisition marks the fifth acquisition by Mérieux NutriSciences in Fiscal Year 16 (starting October 1st, 2015).
