France -Mycotoxins contamination of certain foodstuffs: anomaly rate 7%
Mycotoxins are substances produced by molds that contaminate plants before and / or after harvesting. These contaminants are found in a wide range of foodstuffs and can have an impact on human health.
For certain mycotoxins (patulin, aflatoxins, ochratoxin A, deoxynivalenol, zéaralénone, fumonisins and citrinin, maximum levels have been established (Regulation EC 1881/2006).
The DGCCRF survey shows an anomaly rate higher than that of 2014 (3% in 2014).
Examples of sample high level of mycotoxins:
-Apple juice and apple sauce (patulin)
-Peanut paste, basmati rice (aflatoxins)
-Roasted coffee, muesli (ochratoxin A)
