In response to the effects on the beekeeping sector due to climatic phenomena, the Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development and beekeepers agreed to start a Plan to improve honey production through multiple actions, such as managing the availability of sugar standards at competitive prices as food for bees.

At the meeting held at the Ministry of Agriculture headquarters, beekeepers and authorities also agreed to carry out a national census of producers and beehives and to strengthen associativism to better address this activity with sound and consistent proposals to seek to recover the value of Mexican honey.
