Argentina - Training on new requirements for exporting food products to the USA
The Secretaría de Gobierno de Agroindustria, together with the Senasa (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria) and US experts, began training on the safety of fresh agricultural products under the FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act).
It will be a training crucial to remain competitiveaccording to the importance of meeting the safety standards and quality requirements envisaged by the United States. Argentina has succeeded in expanding the number of markets: it must therefore always keep in mind the health needs of consumers, the reliability and the constant opening of new agricultural markets.
The day is addressed to the trainers so that they can act as multipliers of the acquired knowledge; some of the topics concern regulations and import requirements in the United States, soil improvers, wildlife, domestic animals, water for agricultural use, sanitation and the development of a food security plan for domestic crops.
