Poland - Composition and labeling of food supplements
The amendment to the regulation on the composition and labeling of food supplements has been published in Poland on May 18, 2017.
This amendment precises that purity criteria for substances listed in Annex 2 of this regulation shall apply these given in Regulation (UE) no 231/2012. It also establishes the minimum quantities of vitamin and minerals present in food supplements in the recommended daily intake of 15% the reference intake values specified in point 1 of part A of Annex XIII to Regulation (UE) no 1169/2011. It is also pointed that the requirements of Regulation (UE) no 1169/2011 are also applicable in addition to the mandatory provision of food information to consumers under national regulations on food supplements.
It is also replaced Annex 1 and 2 to this regulation with list of vitamins and minerals and list of chemical forms of vitamins and minerals which are allowed to the food supplements.
The Regulation entered into force on 2 June 2017.
