In 2015 Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) commissioned an online survey to collect information from consumers on the use, understanding and confidence of information on labels.  The areas concentrated on were food safety information, Nutritional Panels, Ingredient List, Health Claims and front of pack Nutrition information. Throughout the study there were options that were to test if the individual can pick the correct interpretation and to test the consumers understanding of the information. The information will potentially be used to assess the labelling standards and updating them.
