Taiwan - Draft on nutritional labeling
Looking for a harmonization with international standards
The Taiwanese Food and Drug recently published a draft on some amendments to nutrition labeling legislation to make it more understandable and harmonize it with international standards.
The main issues concern which elements should appear in the table, a revision of rounding and also a revision of products that do not need the nutritional labeling (with the possibility of their voluntary labeling).
A public comment period of 60 days is open.
