The limit of aflatoxin M1 in milk and dairy products marketed in Japan decreased
On July 23rd, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare issued this announcement on the decrease of the allowable limits of aflatoxin M1 in milk and dairy products in force from Jan. 23, 2016. The new limit of aflatoxin M1 for raw milk, cow milk, goat raw milk, goat sterilized milk, sheep raw milk, low-fat milk, fat-free milk and processed milk is now 0.5 µg/kg.
