Refined oil obtained from the seeds of Buglossoides arvensis as a new ingredient authorized in the EU
After the application of a company and EFSA positive opinion, the European Commission authorized the placement on the market of the refined oil obtained from the seeds of the Buglossoides arvensis as a new ingredient. The labels of the products with such oil have to state “Buglossoides refined oil”.Annex I lists the specifications of this oil, while Annex II lists the food categories which can use such oil and the maximum level of stearidonic acid they can include.
